Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments. It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. If you can get pregnant, your doctor may do tests to make sure you are not pregnant before taking this medicine. Use an effective form of birth control to prevent pregnancy during treatment and for 5 months after your last dose. Do not breastfeed during treatment and for 5 months after the last dose. Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or eye or vision problems. This medicine may cause the following problems:Liver problemsStomach or bowel problemsSerious skin reaction, including Steven-Johnson syndromeEye or vision problems Diarrhea and vomiting may occur while taking this medicine. These side effects may prevent birth control pills from working properly. You may use other forms of birth control (including condoms, diaphragms, or contraceptive foams or jellies).
